Drake nailed it with this one. I’m a die hard when it comes to Turkeys and comfort is key to being motionless when a bird is approaching.Hunting multiple days in a row and In various states takes a toll on your body, especially your back being up against trees and sitting for long periods of time. I have had numerous brand vest and this takes the cake. The seat is perfect for long sits and the magnets allow for it to be stowed away and not fall while running to the next ridge or making your way back to the truck. The spine pad makes it easy to get comfortable if you’re dealing with a hardheaded gobbler and need to stay put for a while. There is plenty of room to store all your gear. The pot call pouches are great for the folks who run multiple pot calls. The shoulder straps are great! Zero slip on the shoulder. All in all it’s a home run for Drake and their design crew. Definitely a purchase that needs to be made for your gear arsenal. You will not regret it.

I love how lightweight it is and how there is a great spot for everything you would need on a hunt. It might be the “perfect” vest if the pad was 1” thicker and the striker closures magnets were twice as strong. The newer models do have improved magnets.

The time & motion Gunslinger vest is the ultimate tool for chasing longbeards for serious turkey hunters. The rubber straps distribute the weight evenly making the loaded vest much lighter in feel. The large zippered pocket on inside back is perfect for carrying jacket, etc when temps warm up during spring morning hunts. This has solved my problem of losing extra t-shirts,etc out of inferior vests. More than enough pockets to hold multiple calls and accessories. This is only vest you will ever need.
