Very nice jacket. I put this jacket to the test this evening on a snowy 11 degree F hike in Northern New Jersey. I wore a pair of wool T-shirts and a flannel shirt underneath. I was certainly warm enough while moving, but that temp is way below the temps at which I would wear this jacket in a stand. This is an insulated wool jacket, so it is a bit heavier in actual weight than a comparable fleece jacket. As others have noted, the material is dead quiet. I had no issue with the precipitation and the hydro-wool dried very quickly. The sleeves, especially the cuffs, fit tightly - which would be very nice shooting a bow, but can make the jacket a bit tricky to put on. The sleeves also have a fabric interior liner, which grabbed at my flannel shirt (but would probably be fine if you had a base layer that was smoother and/or had thumb loops). The jacket comes to my waist, so it is not as long in the torso as other hunting jackets I own - many of which cover the butt. The sleeves are a nice length - covering the top of my hands, which would allow for a full range of motion when shooting. I really like the overall quality of the jacket. The pocket configuration is nice and the zipper quality is great - quiet and easily workable with one hand. The bottomland camo pattern prints a bit dark on the wool, which you can see in the photos. The pattern may blob at range. Overall, very nice piece of clothing that feels very well made.
