Age: 38
Hometown: Diamondhead, Ms
What age did you start hunting? 6
How many days a year do you hunt: 40 plus
Favorite Hunting Area: Coastal marshes, rice/bean fields and flooded timber in the MS Delta.
Favorite Style of Waterfowl Hunting: Staying mobile and readily available to manipulate my situations for sudden change and relocations. Basically I like to keep myself from becoming lazy and sticking to one spot. Just because it looks good doesn't mean its ducky! I like to be able to move quick and fast if I notice I am not where the birds want to be.
Gun of Choice: Winchester super X-2, Stoeger over & under.
Favorite Drake Product: EST waders. These suit my style of hunting. Keep me protected from the elements and allow for me to cool off and not overheat. The WMA bag is a must for any hunter on the go who does not like being overcrowded with gear; small, compact and organized.
Favorite Duck/Goose call: Big Guys Sweet Talker (Bois D Arc). Haydel's DR85. REDBONE speck call!
Proudest Achievement: Becoming a proud father and husband. Other achievements include filling the District Chairman position for Ducks Unlimited Gulf Coast Mississippi and becoming a DRAKE WATERFOWL Field Expert! This position has allowed me to share a title with some of the best waterfowlers in the world. This is an honor without a doubt. Future plans also include returning back to college to complete my Degree at TULANE UNIVERSITY. Go Green Wave!

My name is Tommy Ware and I am an avid waterfowler. I cut my teeth waterfowling at an early age with my older cousins and family on the Pearl River and Nanih Waiya creek in central MS. Waterfowling to me has been a tradition and a family affair. I do not ever remember not having a duck call within my reach at any given time. I also love to turkey hunt. There are days I like to chase those bucks too. My main driving passion is ducks and geese. I am currently the District Chairman for Ducks Unlimited Gulf Coast Ms. I take pride in being surrounded by other faithful DU volunteers in our area and region. My daughter (Emmery Madison Ware) is 5 years old and she is my heart.
If I had to describe myself in just a couple of words it would be that I am a straight shooter. Honesty is a best policy! I am not here to try to convince you that a product is good. I am not here to sell you a product. I am here to show you a product and prove that it is the best around. When I am neck deep in putrid smelling marsh mud, dragging my old lab Rowdy behind me in the pirogue and the sticks and debris underneath do not stab holes in my waders, that is a good product! Sometimes just the added inches of me sitting up in the pirogue is just enough to give my presence away to weary waterfowl. So a good pair of waders is a must. The work involved in times like these may not pay off by a quick jump shoot, but it sure allows for me to get an idea of what I need to do for the next morning. I get phone calls from friends and contacts from public websites just to ask me about my opinions on gear. I value their faith in me so I tell them as simply as I can. "I choose Drake without question" and offer advise as to why I personally would select a product. Durability, camo patterns and just plain old reliability…It is made to last and has sealed the corners and closed the deal on the areas that have usually been overlooked in other products!
I take pride in having some of the best friends a man could have. I have hunted with some of the best unsung waterfowlers in the world. These guys are held together by a bond that no one can break. That bond is the ability to be successful public land hunters. These are places that you just can't skip a step and oversleep in the comfort of your private bunk. This is a place where the Early Birds do get the worm. This is the place that truly put patience, experience and gear to the test. Rest easy my fellow duck hunters! It will be us and our Drake gear coming to a public area near you! With that being said, I would like to wish all of you a Safe and Happy Hunting Season. Good luck, Good Gear and God's Speed!
