From the time he was 10, he began to follow his father into the marshes and woods of Northern California. Tommy typically starts his waterfowl season in early October with a trip to the Klamath Basin and follows the migration into the Sacramento Valley hunting flooded grain fields. If the fields are not producing, you can find Tommy in the California Delta or wherever he can find a place to navigate his mudboat. Tommy is an excellent field caller and at one time was part owner and operator of Webfoot's Waterfowl Adventures. However due to family and work obligations both Tommy and his partner now only guide part-time. Tommy's passion for hunting is not just limited to waterfowl. In the spring he hunts turkeys with his bow, followed by the chasing the elusive Columbian Blacktail deer throughout the summer and early fall. If lucky enough to draw an out of state tag, you can also find Tommy pursuing elk with his bow or hunting big mule deer or antelope with his rifle. Tommy is also a member of Buck Gardner's pro-staff and enjoys attending various waterfowl shows helping to pass along the waterfowl tradition. Tommy's full time job is that of a police sergeant for one of the local police departments. Tommy is assigned to the patrol division and is currently the SWAT team leader and Lead Firearms Instructor. If Tommy is not working or hunting he is spending time with his wife Isa and 3 year old daughter Taci. Taci is already sharing her Daddy's love for the outdoors and loves working with the dogs, stringing decoys and is learning to fish. |
