I started hunting at age 12 with my father, brother and grandfather. I was very lucky to have an uncle growing up that owned a 200 acre cattle farm, learning to deer hunt on private property in southern Michigan I was hooked from the beginning. I have hunted deer in 6 different states and have been lucky enough to harvest several animals over the 125 class with both gun and bow. My first exposure to waterfowl hunting was on the same farm field hunting ducks and geese. I have hunted waterfowl in many different environments from Northern Canada to the rice fields of Arkansas my full time obsession with waterfowl hunting takes me into the field at least 5 days per week 6 months out of each year. I've been a police officer since 1991 just west of Detroit. I also have instructor certifications in nine different areas in weapons and tactics. I took my love of hunting over and training dogs to the next level when I started our department's first K-9 Unit in 1999. I have instructed local hunter safety classes and have trained over 4,000 students in handgun safety for their concealed weapon permits over the last 10 years. I'm married with two children and have already started passing on the family traditions in the outdoors. I'm the Production Manager at GK Championship Calls and The Law Enforcement Division Manager for Wad Wizard Choke Tube Systems.
