My name is Rene Dandry. I was born and raised in New Orleans. I began hunting waterfowl when I was 6 years old. My dad started my with a single shot 20 gauge and a Haydel's DR-85. From then on, I was hooked. I began my calling career competing in duck calling contests in 2000. I've won numerous local calling contests, and won the 2002 Intermediate State duck calling contest for the state of Louisiana.

After Hurricane Katrina, I relocated to Lake Charles for School. I attend McNeese with a major in Agriculture, and a minor in Wildlife Management. I currently hunt with the Haydel family of Haydel's Game Calls. I am also a professional guide. I guide for Big Lake Guide Service in the winter, and I also run an offshore fishing boat in Venice during the summer.
