Mike Pierce

From the first mallard drake that he shot, he has always demanded the most out of my duck hunting gear. That is why that I'm proud to be a part of Drake Waterfowl!

My name is Mike Pierce. I am 46 years old, married to Maribeth, my wife of 15 years, we have two little dog training, duck hunting children, Mason 8 years old that can blow a mean duck call and a pretty good shot, and Mikala who is 10 years old and great help on the road trialing and training.

I started duck hunting in the early 80s. From the first drake mallard I shot, I've always demanded the most out of my duck hunting gear. That is why I am proud to be a part of Drake Waterfowl. I am most definitely NOT a fair weathered duck hunter.

I started dog training in 1984. Titled my first dog with a Master Hunter and got her All Age Qualified. From then until today I couldn't tell you how many dogs that I've titled. This year I decided to enter a dog in the Super Retriever Series on Outdoor Life Network. His name is Wild and Free. He is an eight year old black male. I entered one dog and placed 4th at Shelbyville, Kentucky.

That gave me an opportunity at the Crown Championship in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I was 2 out of 4 to qualify for the championship, with the lowest score. From that moment on, we placed 1st, 4 out of the 5 series for the weekend. The final series, Free cut the score in half to win the Super Retriever Series Crown Championship for 2006!!
