I gained the passion of hunting from my father, as he is an avid guide and hunter of all of our northern game. My passion for calling started when I was a young boy trying to hunt with a 28 gauge gun and wandering how I could get them "Just a little bit closer". My first Goose call was an Olt call my dad bought me for my ninth birthday. I began guiding and helping in 1985 where I met Sean Mann. After Sean's visit my passion for calling became an obsession. I wanted to make the sounds he could make with a call. My father and I along with one of my uncles started a big game/waterfowl guiding outfit out of Manning Alberta. We were in business until fall of 1990 when the outfitting process for big game in Alberta went south. I then worked for local waterfowl outfitters in the north, from FT. Vermillion to McLennan Alberta. My dog "RUFF" and I have been guiding for Sean's Alberta hunts since 2005 and look forward to many more seasons of great memories with Sean. I have 4 sons Quade (13), Klaeton (8), Kden (6), Krz (4), all are on the path to be great waterfowlers and I try to get them out with me as much as possible. They also are involved in hockey, motocross, snow cross, and snowmobile drag racing. So, we have a very understanding and hard working mother and wife "Paulette" who with out we would not function. In my spare time "not much" I enjoy traveling to calling contests and trying to get a little bigger whitetail. |
