I currently live in northeast Louisiana with my wife Wendy and our four dogs. I've been hunting as long as I can remember. I grew up hunting the White River bottoms of eastern Arkansas and can remember being carried on my Pepaw's back when the water got too deep. These days, in my free time, I enjoy training retrievers. I've owned, trained, and handled several good gun dogs fro hunting and hunt tests, as well as limited field trials. I've freelanced and guided from north Alberta and Saskatchewan to the gulf coast. I enjoy dry field hunting for ducks and geese as well as the occasional trip to flooded rice fields, but my favorite, hands down, is hunting mallards in green timber. I hunt 90% on public ground.
