World Duck Calling Championship
In order to become a World Duck Calling Contestant, participants must win one of the state or regional duck calling contests sanctioned by the World's Contest. All of the sanctioned contests undergo a rigorous review each year by the Rules Committee of the World's Championship Duck Calling Contest. In every contest, contestants are required to perform the same series of calls all within routine format. Each routine must not exceed 90 seconds and is judged by five judges who cannot see the participants. Of the five judges, the high and low score are discarded, thus the remaining three are totaled to produce each individual callers score. There are a mandatory of three rounds, all three of which the scores are accumulative.
A caller can win the World up to three times before he is considered retired from the event. Also, every World Championship winner is elgible to compete in the World Duck Calling Champion of Champions which is held every five years at the same venue in Stuttgart. Once a caller wins the Champion of Champions contest, he is considered retired from the World and future Champion of Champion contests.
