Charles "HammerTime" Snapp

-Charles "HammerTime" Snapp

Showing an interest in duck hunting at an early age, Charles' father gave the eleven year old his first duck call. Within his first calling season, and after non-stop practice, which drove his mother wild, Charles had landed his first group of mallards.

While in Junior High and High School Charles would come in from a morning hunting trip to find some of the guest, staying at the motel his family owned, interested in the success of his hunt. If hunting was favorable, Charles often invited them to go on a hunt. It was this meager beginning that set the basis for Charles' future endeavors with the world of waterfowl.

By the late 1970's and early 80's Charles had officially opened his hunting service and his reputation as a duck hunter was spreading. Early in his career Charles had already met numerous outdoor writers and had several articles written about his passion for waterfowl and the quality of his services.

By the mid 90's Charles and Jackie, his wife and partner, had expanded their services to become one of the largest waterfowl operation in the southern United States. By the late 90's Charles' fascination with the outdoors had reached an all time high, as had many outdoor writers' fascination with Charles. It was during this time period when Charles received his first invitation to appear on Outdoor Television.

As Charles continued to pursue his love for the outdoors, Charles and Jackie decided to start downsizing their hunting operation to provide an opportunity for more personalized services. With more time for fellowship and more off-season travel opportunities, Charles began to expand his fascination with outdoor writing and outdoor television.

As a freelance writer, Charles has seen some of his feature articles published in magazine like Wildfowl, Waterfowl Hunter and Adventure Sports Outdoors. Charles also writes a monthly column about hunting and hunting related travels. His column, appropriately named HammerTime, appears in two different print magazines and close to a dozen Internet sites. Charles is an active member in the writers' guild SEOPA (South Eastern Outdoor Press Association).
