What age did you start hunting: I began hunting and fishing at an early age, around 6 or 7 with my dad. My passion for waterfowl hunting began shortly after graduating college in the early 1980's.

How many days a year do you hunt: I hunt waterfowl 30-40 days a year and pursue other game an additional 20-30 days.

Favorite Hunting Area: Most of my waterfowl hunting is concentrated in NE Arkansas on various leases and several public use lands. Several areas around the country that I go to when time permits are NW Missouri, North Dakota and an occasional trip to Texas. I plan to explore Mississippi and Louisiana this year as well.

Favorite Style of Waterfowl Hunting: Green Timber is without a doubt my favorite style, but I enjoy watching, working and harvesting ducks and geese in pit blinds as well as field hunting when the time is right.

Gun of Choice: Benelli SBE II is my exclusive choice for all waterfowling.

Favorite Drake Product: I was a die hard Drake user long before I became a Field Expert. Having used many of the products for a number of years, I think my favorite products continue to be the quarter zip pullovers. I use several different patterns throughout the year depending on the conditions of the day. The Eqwader system is a fantastic tool for waterfowlers which allows full coverage throughout the season in a host of usable patterns. I am excited, as most waterfowlers should be, to try the new Drake Waders this fall. They look like they are going to be an incredible improvement over traditional waders.

Favorite Duck/Goose call: Primarily I use two, a Primos Cocabola Winch and an acrylic from Foiles. I use the drake whistle from Duck Commander a lot as well.

Proudest Achievement: I am most proud of the fact that I have never harvested an illegal animal in my life. I am equally proud to have passed the belief that hunting is a sport that demands ethical responsibility from each of us along to my two boys. They are becoming fine young hunters and equally fine young men, for which I could not be prouder.

Waterfowl hunting is a passion around our house which is shared by my wife Kristi, who accompanies me on most of my hunting adventures. She is a crack shot and equally loves the experience of wings whistling overhead. Cache River Sunset,"Cash", is now 5 ½ and really getting into his prime.
