I went on my first duck hunt at the age of 11. It was a timber hunt that was unforgettable. From that day forward, I have been passionate about waterfowl hunting. Most of my hunting is done on private land in the timber, as well as in a lot of rice fields. I also hunt public land probably five or so days out of the year when the action is really heavy. Spending time with my Dad, my dog, and my friends makes duck hunting not just a hobby, but a major part of my life, something I truly love.
I love dogs, especially water dogs. I have a five-year-old black Labrador named Buckshot who I trained myself. I recommend training your own dog to anyone. Buckshot and I really bonded through training, and he is 110% loyal to me. He is my number one hunting buddy, and I believe a good duck hunt is not complete without him.
I am a freshman at Arkansas State University, located in Jonesboro, Arkansas. GO REDWOLVES! I am undecided in my major, but my goal is to go to law school and become an agricultural lawyer one day. I am part of ASU's Honors Program, and I am also a member of Kappa Alpha Order.
